What are you getting at when you say I have a hidden agenda? If I don’t update you are wondering where I am (as in when I posted originally) but if I do update then I have a hidden agenda? I am obviously annoying some people on here (or is it embarrassing) and so I will take my grievances elsewhere. Although I can assure you the only agenda I have is to get my ISE5 fixed which I feel I am entitled to as I paid for it when I purchased it in 2008 in good faith. I have not hounded anybody (or is that where I went wrong?) and the only reason as I said before that I have not rung the repair man myself is because I thought that ISE were sorting things out for me.

Bet you can guess in which direction my ‘size 5’ would be heading 😆 😉

    Hi mumof6,

Talking from the view of another ‘lady ’ i think you really should give the your engineer a call, i can understand why you feel that he should contact you but you must need that machine running again asap and he does seem to be ‘dragging his heels’ to put it mildly 👿

    best wishes

    quickwash :plug:

I will happily ring him in the morning and the only reason I haven’t before is because I thought ISE were doing the chasing for me and as he is being paid by ISE then surely they have more ‘clout’ than me?

You know, I can’t help asking myself why you are being so evasive, so obstreperous even in all of this? Whilst on the one hand you readily accept that your local ISE agent to be trustworthy. That kwatt has explained, at some great length I might add, the unfortunate situation with regard to the part availability, the trouble attempting contacting you and loss of emails and so on. Furthermore you have been assured that the part has been sent to the agent and should indeed have it in his possession. Yet at the vital point in the story, and coincidentally I might add, your phone line goes down. Exacerbating yet further a quick resolve.

How cannot any right thinking person, having waded through this endless tale, conclude that you, mumof6, are deliberately being, as I said earlier, obstreperous to this whole issue?

Is this a game you are playing all the while because sure as hell is hot that appears to be the case here? 👿

Why on earth do you think I am being obstreperous to this whole issue? I have been more than polite and patient during all this. The first so many weeks (which if you read this properly you will understand) my washing machine was faulty but as far as I was aware still just about useable and so that is why I just got on with life thinking someones a bit slow but as we had had snow etc I put it down to the weather etc. I then phoned again in early December (still polite and patient) wondering what was happening (again machine still half working) then we had further snow and the chaos started again, plus Christmas and all the chaos that comes with that too.

Exactly! I have done all the chasing and I think ISE have rung me back once. I would have thought a couple of courtesy calls from ISE wouldn’t have gone a miss – but no nothing! Infact I rang ISE again this afternoon and the phone rang for 2½ mins approx before going dead but when I rang back and withheld the number someone answered straightaway!! Hmm!

ISE have contacted the agent, in fact I do believe that you were informed of this.

Since the ISE office doesn’t have caller ID it’s calls cannot be discriminated. There are no known faults.

Fair enough about the call display but you can’t blame me for getting paranoid. Yes when ‘I’ phoned ISE this afternoon they said he was going to ring me but as yet I am still awaiting the call.

Easy chezza….take a deep breath, don’t over excite yourself. Mumof6 only needs to pick up the phone, now it’s working and give them a bell, no running involved. Easy pal, lets just see what she says eh? There’s a good chap…AND, breath out now!:D

A comment like this has really annoyed me to be honest, I have rung ISE too many times. The only future calls I will be making will be to Consumer Direct and national and local consumer programmes plus other interested parties. It was only because I recognised the local engineer that I know who he is but if it had been the company that first brought my ISE and replaced the original then all I could say about them was that they were from Staffordshire (I think) and had travelled 2½ hours to get to me (not very local). My phone was only out for a couple of hours at most and then I had it diverted to my mobile.

Come on mumof6 you must surely have made contact by now since the part is with your trusted ISE agent AND your phone is now fully functional. Please tell us the good news…..

Why on earth should MO6 have to run around after this ? With the “service” she has experienced , the very least she deserves is a call from the agent , and surely ISE should have made sure that happened last week when spares were dispatched ?

Re: ISE5 Broken down for weeks and no one seems to care?????

The engineer that came to see my ISE in October is a chap that I usually use from choice so I was pleasantly surprised to see him coming to repair my machine as I know I can trust him. He has always been very reliable when I phone him for other electrical jobs and so therefore I find it most odd that he is possibly getting the blame for the initial slowness? I won’t be convinced that it is his fault until I speak to him.

It would be the most convenient and cost effective solution with a big family.

It would not be hugely eco-friendly.

The very reason why I bought a machine with a 5 year warranty, etc was so that I wouldn’t need to and obviously I thought ISE was a company to be trusted. Yes now I wish I had bought a cheaper machine in the beginning and if it only lasted me 2 years or so then so what I just buy another cheapie (would probably equal out the same as the cost of the ISE) Well you live and learn as they say!! As for buying a cheapie now (or before) well I would have if I had realised the whole farce would take over 3 months! But hindsight is a wonderful thing!

    Hi
Just to say It is still not sorted. I have received no calls today but to be fair for a couple of hours this morning there was a fault on my line which BT were trying to fix. In the meantime my calls were diverted to my mobile (although there might have been a period without). The phone was fixed by 12pm and despite being in all day and having caller display and BT answerphone I have received no calls from anybody apart from my husband.

I don’t remember a time when my ISE5 was quiet! 😆 Or come to think of it I don’t remember when it worked either! :rolls:

ISE have only rung me back once and that was ages ago. The usual scenario is that I ring ISE, ISE fobs me off, I think things are moving and then a few weeks later I realise that once again nothing is being done!!! Hence why my initial call was made in October and I am still waiting 3 months later………………!

Courtesy calls would be nice too but I get no info unless I ring them every time and I am starting to feel like they are taking the p*&#! 👿
