    Re: Beko D533 Electric Oven

    Hi Steve and kwatt.
Sorry I forgot to let you know what happened. Well I replaced the element and the oven works just fine. I didn’t replace the cut-out because I’m not sure if it matters which way round I connect it, and the thermal fuse I’m replacing is tucked up tight against the oven rear, and I don’t know if the cut-out would be effected by the heating it would get in that position. I also would like to know if when I replaced the element I should have used something like LocTite on the screws. When I took them out I they were extremely tight.

    Thanks for all your help.

    Hi everybody.

I’ve also been told that I should replace the thermal fuse. Does it matter which way the thermost is wired?

Just a thought. Does it matter which way the thermostat goes in?

    Hi Steve and K.
Do you know if I will need anything like sealing rubber or gasket?

    Hi Steve1.

I did read about the Safety Thermostat in the forum. I’ve never come across a thermal fuse before and I’m not sure how to go about fitting it. Do I cut out the thermal fuse and attach spade connectors to attach to thermostat? I’ll have to order an element and thermostat. Many thanks.

Thanks Steve1. How certain can you be? I can see from your profile that you are a very experienced engineer but I have been reading all the posts I can find online (for similar problems) and some seem to think it may be it may be the thermal fuse at fault.

Re: BEKO D533 – Main oven not working

My problem is slightly different. The oven fan and light are OK, I just have no heat. I have removed the back and can see the two thermal fuses on the right-hand side, the upper with red wire and the lower with white wire. I don’t quite understand how to replace the fuse with the thermostat, if this is what is required in my case. Do I have to cut out the fuse and then attach spade connectors so that it will attach to the thermostat?
