Re: whirlpool frostfree uprightfreezer AFG8275NF
I am having problems with my Whirlpool AFG8275NF no frost freezer. Two weeks out of guarantee the temperature dropped. I called a local engineer out…the fan was frozen solid. He manually defrosted it and I presumed the door maybe had been left ajar at times although the alarm never went off as it does when I rummage about. He told me if it happens again, then to empty it and leave the door open for three days. (which is what I am about to do)
The same thing is happening again and I KNOW the door hasn’t been left open. I have contacted various people at Whirlpool saying I believe there to be a design fault or it is not fit for purpose but they say there are no real complaints about this freezer and I can pay for an engineer to come out. HELP! I can’t afford to do this only to be told I’ve left the door open. Looking on this site, there does appear to be a problem with this freezer. I would welcome any information I can use with regards to people having the same fault (and what causes it?)
