Hi,
Just like to say oven is now fixed and many thanks to all who gave good advice.
The problem was the selector on the left hand side had burned out and had to be replaced.
It was a friend who is an electrician that spotted it and I picked up the part from ebay for 14.99.

Hi,
I have checked the clock and it has the U with 3 lines above.
Do these oven have such a thing as an internal fuse that could have blown ?
Reason I ask is that the inside light will not even come on when just this is selected ?
