Re: Fisher & Paykel mw511 wont agitate or spin, beeps wi
Hi.
I had this problem with my machine as well. Code 56 it was giving me, intermittent, could get around it for a while by quickly flicking the power switch off and on again at the wall, Worked for about 2 months like that then just stopped dead… So I took the RPS board out and it had corroded tracks…
I tried an online seller for the part, cost AU$80, So i decided to have a crack at fixing up the tracks, All I did was get some really thin insulated wire and rewired the whole board, a few small dabs of super glue to hold the fine wires down and about 3 hours of soldering and sweating!!! It works, got a load washing now… If it breaks again Ill have to search a bit harder for a local repair place to get the part at a reasonable price…
Cheers.
