OK sacarstics, Actually they are qualified to rewire houses and work all over the UK contracting, they dont fix tumble driers daily!

My husband is an electrician, and his colleague checked it, he is also a qualified electrician and have beenfor over 30 years.

My other half connected a lead to the heating element and it got hot. No idea why it is that when its connected to the dryer only cold air blows through.

Right the element is checked and working 😀 The thermostats are closed 😀
its a matter of checking everything else now, surely it not gonna be too serious a problem, there doesnt seem to be much in there.Re: TD4212W not heating URGENT
Cannot see any breaks in the element, I have the model number TD 4212W and serial No 148 01882 if this is of any help

You will need a megger or multimeter to test this component and also the heating element if this stat is not faulty.
PS. EVERY call is urgent..or so I get told several times every day. 😉 If its not that then its “an emergency” :rolls:In my book, serious illness, accidents or worse are emergencies, not failures of domestic appliances. 😛

Have checked the thermostat inside the door and like the other two on the heater element are closed. What should the readings on the multimeter be?Re: Clearing gas jets
Thanks for the reply Martin, the engineer cleared the other jets but said there must be a blockage in the tube from the gas outlet. He didnt advise me whether or not I could get it replaced. He was a qualified GAS SAFE REGISTERED ENGINEER. Is it possible to buy a replacement? and what is the cost of the parts? I parted with £125.00 to get the cooler fan sorted today.

Just ordered 4 new parts for it, just waiting for delivery then the dishwasher should be as good as new 😆

If by spray nozzle you mean the offset jet on the bottom of the rotor, you want p/no 1523172-10/2. You may save a few bob by passing your enquiry through to spares@ukwhitegods.co.uk .

sorry, I dont know what possessed me to put Indesit in the first place. I had read the above thread and thats when I realised my washer was a Tricity Bendix and not an Indesit.

Ive managed to remove the air chamber tube from the bottom of dishwasher, and cleaned it. It was full of grease and debris. Washer is now working fine but I need to replace a few parts. Grey Dishwasher Filter, Dishwasher Central Filter, Lower Basket Wheel and Lower Spray Arm Nozzle. Ive managed to find all the parts on espares for £35.55 but not sure if the “lower spray arm nozzle” will fit or whether i need to replace the whole lower spray arm which will add another £20.00+ to the total cost.
My model is Tricity Bendix DH090 number 911731012.
Any help would be appreciated and I thank everyone on “Ukwhitegoods.co.uk” for such a brilliant site and lots of help.Re: Indesit DH090 dishwasher
Thanks for the reply penguin, I wouldnt know where to start to look for the air chamber or pressure switch, is there any diagrams or detailed instructions around?

He works as an electrical fitter in the water industry, and most work is obviously manual, a lot of heavy difficult lifting etc. he also knows his electrical although most i of this i assume would be manual. The seal will also need replacing when the bearings are replaced? I think he could manage it 😉

OMG 🙁 I cant afford that amount of money, My other half is an electrician and has had a go at fixing my washers in the past. He has replaced the motor on this washer, the belt and i think brushes at some point. Do you think he would be able to do it? What price can i expect to pay for the part roughly?
Why does everything break down all at once? dishwasher broke, washing machine broke, mobile phone playing up (broke) and just had the car fixed 👿
