    Re: ISE cd601w

I found that I had to undo the nut holding the drum shaft into the bearing on the back cover then let the drum drop. You can’t get to the pump with the back cover on. I found that the pump would work fine and so did the micro switch when tested independently. However when put back together it would trip out on F10 fault. Was not prepared to spend any more money on it.
The ISE replaced an hotpoint CD80 which also leaked water.
The trouble with cheap machines is that you can’t level them ( and my floor is not level). The design on condenser dryers is such that it needs to be level or water does not go directly into the container. Even on the ISE there was a large gap between the discharge pipe and container.
I’m so glad I didn’t buy the washing machine.
I’ve resurrected the hotpoint. I’d look to buy a Miele when I replace it

He probably does, but this fault will be unrelated to the motor start capacitor so another call out fee and repair charge assuming he can source spares if required. I’m not prepared to pump another £50+ into this machine

    Re: Gone and Done It

Tumble drier is very quiet we dont know its on sometimes, not like our previous C**p point, and my sisters C**p Point that was even louder than ours.
Does the job but have found that on some of the auto dry programes the items are not quite as dry as I expected, but it may be us that requires re-calibration on what we expect and what it should be. Sheets and duvet covers do come out a little tangled though. Overall I am pleased with it and would recomend it.
Whats your opnion of the ISE 10? We haev a Miele atthe moment thats got a few years left in it.

Now totally fed up with the C**point tumble dryer. have decided to replace it. Either ISE or Miele me thinks. Will have to ring a few of the ISE dealers near to Lowestoft and see what sort of response I get. Have concerns over the possible response times should it break down.

Re: Miele W2240 Check Drain light flashing

    Hi Phil

Thanks for the prompt reply, however I did not see it before I had to depart to Bristol for the week. Got home Thursday eve. Washer still miss-behaving. Looked more closely at the symptoms and noticed that although water draining, it seemed to only be at a trickle.

Re drained the machine and removed the spigot to the sink, both this and the sink entry was clear. Decided to remove outlet hose completely, whilst removing spigot from hose big lump of s**t fell out of the end of the hose once spigot removed.

Re-assembled hose and filter, tried machine, now pumping like a good un.

    Thanks M8.

Although the machine is covered by a 10 year parts and labour guarantee, I don’t like to call them out unless I’m sure its something beyond my control, plus the fact that the 5-6 days delay before they can get here has the missus foaming more than the machine.

Could try washing the clothes there.

    Thanks
    Colin

Re: HOTPOINT CTD80P – Water leak from condenser area

    Hi

A similar thing happened to mine. Make sure that the machine is level. I suspected that because the little pipe that goes into the water container does not protrude very far into the container it dribbles down the side and into the container area.

When you pull out the container is there water present?

    Re: Hotpoint CTD80 Water Leak

    Hi all

Thanks for the asdvice. I have had a look and the tube is wery short (needs to be otherwise it would catch on the water container as it is pulled out). I think the problem lies with the machine being slightly off level. Having moved it it is now ok.

Shortly afterwards though (and when id left for work as I work away all week) the misus complained that the machine keeps tripping the rcd. Having read the excellent advice that members of this forum have given others with this problem I was able to diagnose the problem stright away and fix it.

Water picked up by hte motor fan and flicked up onto the heater elements.

Dired out with a cloth and a fan heater now all ok

    Thanks for the advice chaps
