The dryer stops, it beeps and then flashes about 60 times for a minute, beeps again and then repeats ad infinitum.
Whilst it is drying the light constantly flashes.

Thanks Seamy.
I ran a few cycles on cold and it does seem to have shifted the problem.
However, the machine is still running through a cycle too quickly and with the Finish/Anit-crese light continuously flashing. This happens whether it is on high or low. I have tried unplugging and plugging in again. It runs for about 15 or 20 mins before beeping and stopping. It goes through all the stages on the lights too. The water container is no where near as hot as it normally is.
Thanks

😀 lol
Yes, throwing balls at my clothes would be fun. I agree with you guys about this stuff, especially after having read some of the webpages on here about this stuff too. So basically when it comes to washing products you should think of a castrated Mr Muscle – no balls, just detergent.

Hi,
Kwatt, i think you are talking specifically about the washer balls aren’t you?
What do you, or anybody else think about the dryer balls? The ones with dimples. They don’t look like they would be good for your drum or clothes in the long term, pounding away in there.
Also, I picked up from Tchibo a couple of years ago a little orange ball that is meant to have some king of molecule clingy force or something to stop stuff gunking up the pipes. It was cheaper than calgon all the time, but having used it I have never looked inside the machine to see if it has made a jot of difference!

Thanks iadom.
Yes, following the instructions is vital, as are the transit bolts, thank you. I have already looked through the manuals online and there is nothing too complicated. The hardest part for delivers will be lifting it up a flight of stairs.

Hi Guys,
Thank you for the advice. It has been very helpful, and i can see that it is somewhat down to personal opinion as to whether SMEG is better than SIEMENS/BOSCH. Especially in light of the fact that the BSH standalone washer dryers are all made in Spain. I really do not know what difference that makes.
But I think it will probably be the SMEG what with the 5 year warranty and the general support from you guys. Now i just have to find a reputable seller….
One thing about any Warranty is, is it void if I install it myself. I have installed a washing machine myself before with no problem, but I heard that i had to be done by a qualified tech. Any thoughts?
Also, You know, after the Miele, Which rated an AEG Electrolux L16830 and a John Lewis JLWD1408 as the the next best options. I believe the John Lewis is made by AEG. It has a 3 year warranty, but I thought that AEG was a step down. I think they base some of their review on reliability and customer satisfaction, which is partly why they score high.
