    Thanks for the replies.

    The service light is steady, no flashing.

    Here is a more detailed description:

    When powered on the machine seems to start normally. i.e. it pumps out any existing water. (Checked by pouring a panfull in the soap drawer and watching it go out of the drum.

    Then the ‘wash’ and ‘rinse’ lights come on as if it’s starting to do something but nothing happens – (apart from the ‘service’ light coming ol too).
    No clicks, no whiring, no vibrating.

    But the water inlet pipe does pour water freely when disconnected at theback of machine. So it looks to me like some solenoid or whatever which should open to let water in isn’t doing so.

    Does that sound correct?

    I’ve clealed all filters of course and there’s no sign of accumulted gunge or similar…
