Brushes lasted from purchase in 2001 so had a good innings and you would need to be a contortionist to have any chance of changing these with Motor in situ’.
Very straight forward to get motor of and replace, thanks for the link re replacement brushes but I was under huge pressure to get it repaired that day so managed to get a set from my local repair shop £14.00.
I didn’t realise that brush failure would cause total stoppage of the motor so symptoms seemed odd.
All now back to normal Bosch standards quiet and efficient.
May be wrong part of the forum but any idea where I might get a hold of Carbon filters for a new Stoves 1100DCP SS Cooker hood, seems like many offer universal type but I am unsure whether these would fit and Stoves want major spondoolies.
