another thing i forgot to mention is that under my sink the stop clock has a small leaver, when the leaver is in the 12 oclock position, then it is fully open hence full water supply to the dishwasher.
But the engineer found that the leaver on the stop clock was in the almost 3 oclock position (machine is 3 years old), he said that water supply to the diswasher was not fully open. That means, the stop clock has been like that since how long we have had the machine i.e 3 years.
If the water supply was not fully open for 3 years, could that explain all the gunge build up??
Also when putting dishes in the dishwasher should you rinse them under running tap water?

I tried to remove the pressure chamber to clean it but i found it too compicated and called the Bosch Engineer £107 charge in total, he fitted a new chamber.
If you look at my previous pictures, it shows the pressure chamber gunged up, I thought this was all food bits that had accumilated over 3 years. But the engineer said it is not food becuase only clean water passes through the chamber. He said the gunge in the pressure chamber was, what ever was in the main water supply i.e minerals etc. A build up of that.
Is the engineer correct?

I’ve removed the matrix and pressure chamber. Is it safe to stick the pressure chamber under running tap water to clean it or are there any electrical components I need to be careful about?

Thanks for that,
Removing the matrix and pressure chamber, is it particularly hard? And would it take long to do?

Thanks for the reply:
The ribbed pipe just to the right of the red switch, is that where I need to disconnect from in order to clean it? Do I just clean the opening of the pipe or do I need to clean deep inside the pipe?
How do I access the ribbed pipe? I took off the bottom pannel below the door. Which revealed a silver panel with 2 screws, undid the screws and pulled the silver panel forward but it has wires connected to it from the back. I was too scared to pull it forward any further in case I damaged wires. Seems like to access the ribbed pipe, you have to get behind this silver panel but don’t know how?
How would u get at the pressure chamber to clean that? Do u get at it with the ribbed pipe disconnected? Or do you get at it from above? Is it possible to clean out the whole chamber? Or just the opening of it with the ribbed pipe out the way?
What has caused the gunning up?
Thank you.

[/img]Yesterday, after about 3 weeks the constant pumping started up again, so I tilted the machine and drained the basin. Machine working ok again.
Tonight, I took the side panels off and looked inside the best I could. I can already see some water having collected again. So I presume it only a matter of time before the pump starts to activate again.
Obviously there is a problem but I do not know how to identify it in order to resolv?, hope the pictures help.

After few weeks of no problems the problem is back. I can’t identify any leaks. My wife decided to wash the washing machine detergent dispenser inside the dishwasger last night, so not sure did that over foam things but she insists she rinsed the dispenser very well under the tap before put it inside the dishwasher.

I removed the lid, side panels and the front plate below the door. Behind the front plate was a layer of foam like material. I didn’t touch that was too nervous. Looking through the left of the machine with the left panel off, the gap was too small for me to see deep into the machine for any water collected. So I tilted machine forward and pehaps 1-2 mugs worth of water came out on the floor. No sign of a leak but machine is ok. Stupid gurgling sound gone. If it starts again, then I know there a leak.
Hope

I’ll have a go tonight and will report back, hope it doesn’t take long.

Thank you for the reply.
Few questions:
1) what could have caused the basin to flood, could it be too much detergent causing excess soap suds?
2) where is the kick panel/plate?
3) is it particulary hard to remove the side panels etc?
4) are boch dishwashers generally reliable? Mine has made in Germany on it and not one of Spanish made ones,

Same problem still as I said in my first post. But if I pull the machine out half way from under the work top and push it back in again. The machine starts working ok with water coming in. This fixes things for about a week before the problem starts again. I have to repeat the above again to get it going for another week.

Then there is no problem with the m/c.
As Penguin and Greg rightly stated the internal sensors are altering the programme times so that you get the best wash result.
My only concern is that:On the dishwasher, the chosen programme only begins when the door is closed.
Prior to closing the door and the programme starting, i can always go through any of the 6 programmes and the dishwasher indicates how long it will take.
for the last 6-8 months
1) Quick Wash has always shown 29 mins when selected only.
2) whilst cold Rinse has always shown 18 mins when selected only. (please note both these times are displayed before the programme starts i.e when the door is closed)my point is if the increase in programme duration took place during a programme/cycle, i can understand. But in this case why has the programme duration increased merely by just selecting a pgramme and not shutting the door in order to start the cycle.
now when ever i go through all the 6 programmes to see how long they will take;
1) Quick Wash no longer displays 29 mins but 40 mins:
2) pre-Rinse only no longer displays 18 to 23 mins.Omar

Hi,
So you don`t think there is a fault? I think the duration of all the programmes have slightly increased: For example.
1) Quick Wash has gone from 29 mins to 40 mins:
2) Rinse only has gone from 18 to 23 mins.Sorry for not knowing much about dishwashers but how exactly does colder water effect a dishwasher? What differance does colder water make since the machine heats the water up anyway?
This started happening on Saturday, it has not happened before!
The dishwasher still cleans and dries as it should.
