but all warranties have limitations as to what resonalbe wear and tear is etc. these days you can ask the machine how many washes its done to determine if the machine is overused according to their rules

all to do with marketing. they only offer it every now and then as a way of boosting sales and possibly lowering stock

one of the elements in the oven has an earth fault and you either have to do an insulation test on each element or disconnect both wires from them, make wires safe and try it

when it stops tripping you have found it

    Thanks Dave

Does it require a part to fix?

but from your description it sounds like the door needs to be lifted so it does not catch

    Dave

I looked at the rating plate again. I was mistaken about being made in Germany. It says made in the UK

    Hi Dave

Vzug told me they used Vzug trained engineers.

reading the information about brands on this website, it says:

”V-Zug are actually priced higher than Miele and Asko and billed as being better and/or longer lasting than either of the two. This may be open to debate but, the quality of V-Zug is not open to question really, the appliances are painstakingly well built”.

I was looking at a Vzug steam combination oven which is about £3400, it comes with a 5 year warranty.

miele steam combination ovens are similarly expensive and some models even more expensive. But miele only appear to ever offer a 2 year warranty on their ovens, whilst on their dishwashing or laundry products you regularly see 5-10 year warranty promotions.

Now Miele like to shout that their products are built to last up to 20 years but why only offer a 2 year warranty on a oven I was looking at which costs approximately £4400. Seems bit mean by Miele.

ok Miele are supposed to be of excellent quality and their ovens might last 20 years but their rivals like Samsung or Siemens offer 5 year warranty on some of their ovens even if they are not of the same quality as Miele.

I could buy a Miele oven but what if I was unlucky and it broke down just after the 2 year warranty finished and I assume Miele are not cheap to repair?

im attracted by Vzug because if I spend £3400 least I get a 5 year warranty.

    Hi Don

    i asked Vzug

    4) in the unfortunate event I need a repair. What is your repair network like? Do you have plenty of engineers around the U.K. like with NEFF or Bosch. Is it easy to get hold of parts etc?

Reply was: The repair network is the best in the business, V-ZUG are not the sort of company to do things by half.

That is an excellent idea and one which will dramatically reduce the pollutants placed inside the machine. Less grey water, easier, faster cleaning and with better results overall.:D

Hi martin, if i had regulary rinsed the dishes in the sink, then would i have avoided my problem?

Finally, are other brands of dishwashers like AEG or miele vulnerable to this same problem.
