    Re: Hotpoint SDW60

    Thanks for the info lads.
The model number on the sticky labels that came with the machine is SDW 60 PC which I think you are going to say its made in China. 🙁
I had taken the front off the machine to see what the PCB looks like and my immediate thought was what few components there are.(unless they are all surface mounted on the print side) I didnt take the pcb off for a close inspection at this stage.
Upshot is that the machine worked perfectly for 2 different cycles after the pcb and wiring had been disturbed.
Maybe a red herring but I will go through the tests that you suggested and keep you posted.
What would cause the machine to foam ? (crap powder/tablets)
Incidentally what does the (looks like a piece of black plastic) on a pair of flying leads do ?

    Thanks

    Re: Electrolux WH2125

Thanks for the very prompt replies.
The machine is certainly quieter when spinning without a load.
By pushing up and down on the drum at the three paddle positions at the front I can detect a very small movement in the vertical plane.
I would say the drum has a very small amount of noise when spun by hand without the belt on (I presume there should be no noise at all)
