Thanks Martin. From looking at the movement of the drum in relation to the outer tub through the holes and by rotating the drum by hand, the rotation appears normal, i.e. no noticeable elliptical type movement. Please can you explain how I would investigate this further? Thanks

Hi, thanks for the reply. Numbers are E-NR: WAE2446SGB/12 FD8803. I’ve looked closer at the drum edge which is rotating against the door seal and the rotation has caused rubber to stick to the drum edge in places and there are tiny fragments of rubber on the drum edge. Any advice gratefully received.

Hi All. It seems the drum is binding against the door seal as when I pull the inner seal back the drum moves normally. I can’t see anything stuck in the drum and the door seal appears fine. Any ideas please? Could something be causing the inner drum to have moved forward towards the door seal? Is this a case of removing the back of the machine and seeing if it is possible to retrieve any object without trying to completely dismantling the outer tub from the drum, and then finally doing a full dismantle if I can’t?
