could it be the motor thingy that makes the ice maker arms go round???

as i have no other problems at all with the fridge freezer its cooling, the water dispenser is fine and i have no lights flashing on or off on the display!
as the parts are so overpriced i want to make sure i am buying the right thing first time round!

just for a littel background, i bought this unit second hand and i cant get the ice maker to work,

as it is well out of its warranty i would need to get a selanoid (sorry i dont know how its spelt) for the ice maker but i cant afford 60 quid at the moment for a new one any ides what else it could be or how i could sort it out?

could it just be the selanoid or could the motor on the maker have died?
