Interesting… I just got a call from my mother-in-law as her new electrolux-zanussi fridge has developed the same problem.

I don’t have the model number to hand but will get all the details and post a new topic over the weekend.

What makes this a strange one is that she bought a new fridge last month as the last one (4 years old) developed an identical fault so we presumed it was broken. On top of that… this all started weeks after the flat was re-wired. I thought it may be linked to that but for one part of the fridge to be ok (the freezer) and the other to have a problem seems unlikely to be down to the electricity supply. But who knows…
