It’s about 5 years old and has been working fine.
Given it was working fine it seems unlikely to me that it would be a problem with the wiring.
When I fitted the new thermostat it just did the same as the old one. There is a definite click when the dial is turned past the oven temp, the LED gives a little flicker and I could also see a little flash inside the thermostat unit, but the oven just stays on.
If the thermostat unit was faulty would you expect to hear the click when the dial was turned past the temp of the oven?
Could I have been supplied with a faulty thermostat?
