Thanks for that I will give it a go tomorrow.
I have just unplugged what I think is a thermostat attatched to the top of the casing. It ran for a long time & the clothes were “almost” dry.
Any idea what is going on ??paulbhalton

thanks for that I will have another look arround, maybe a dry joint somewhere !!
Incidentally I was looking at the cooker pages & based on the info I found there I have just replaced the fluorescent tube in my Creda 48197 cooker.
What a glutton for punishment, a house full of Creda appliances !!
Anyone else out there with any info/suggestions, they WILL be gratefully received.
THANKS PAUL

Its Creda model number 37646E.
I have the thing open, the “dampness” control varies the resistance from 45 ohms to 4.5 mega ohms, then when cliked to dry shows open circuit oj my meter i.e. over 20 mega ohms.
The damp sensor in the drum was showing about 200 ohms to the control board , I have tightened up the copper brush connector to the drum, now its about 1 ohm. I took the damp sensor out of the drum, it was full of fluff. I have replaced it all, connected up, and yep U guessed it its EVEN WORSE than before. It switches the heater off after two minutes !!.
So I quess its the sensor or the control board but how can you tell ??
Thanks Paul
