    Just to close this thread. Ordered a new element via this website and changed the heater element at the weekend. It actually had a 41021737 element fitted which doesn’t have the thermistor attached. Having checked with Dave I fitted the 41028717, which has the thermistor, and all works well. The connector on the original thermistor (CA2107) fitted onto the new element so I fitted it to the new element. Incidentally, it was as easy as the video showed.

    No, no error codes or flashing lights. I think I’ll go for a new element (41028717). The kitchen designer thought it would be a good idea to lift and enclose heavy kitchen units over the dishwasher and washing machine then build further solid units on top hence no access to check anything. She who must be obeyed ….!!!!!! stars again. Thanks for help.

    Thanks Martin. Would there be any error codes or flashing going on if the heater element wasnt working?
