ParticipantIs it likely that it is just the gasket causing my issues? I asume it’s hard to tell, but is it usual for these to fail and crumble?

Yeah i worked that out too eventually, the grey cells are a little rusty!

Thanks for the prompt response. Having a look underneath, there is one obvious capacitor next to what I assume is the circulation motor.
It’s some sort of dual capacitor that I dont remember from my electronics A Level!
It’s a 0.1uF dual, is this likely to be the beast?

I was hoping for an idea of a repair or part replacement I can do myself, without having to call an engineer.
It’s about 8-9 years old, so I dont want to spend too much on it!
