ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Aquarius DF 61 Not Filling Every time
Thank you. Yes, I can see your point of view, but you must also try to see mine.
If you read my posts carefully, I do not ask how to repair the fault. All I ask is the location of the likely blockage.
I am sorry if any offence was taken by my previous post, but I don’t want to be treated like a simpleton, which is how it came over.pdavies

Thanks anyway for your concern, but please don’t patronise me. I asked a simple question. The only reason I asked it is that I have no access to a diagram.
I am a qualified chemical engineer, and have a good appreciation of equipment safety, and a good understanding of how these things work. All I lack is a drawing.
Sorry, I thought this was a help forum. When I ask for the location of a component, how do you expect me to react when told “Deep inside your machine”?pdavies

Thanks. Sounds not too serious, then.
Where do I start looking for the inlet pipe?pdavies
ParticipantRe: Hotpoint Aquarius DF 61 Not Filling Every time
Coincidentally I have a Hotpoint DF61 which has developed the self same fault as yours this week.
The pump is working normally, but it isn’t taking water. My filters are clear, so I am assuming the water inlet valve is stuck. I managed to clear it on Thursday, not really finding anything wrong, and it successfully completed 2 washes, but today it is stuck again.
My question is :- where do you find the inlet valve? I found an impeller thing at the base of the reservoir which I assume to be the drain pump (??).
At the moment I am basically calling it a write-off and loath to call in a repair man as it is 5 years old.
All help gratefully received. -
