ParticipantRe: Bosch Exxcel SGS56E02GB/35- heater & not starting
Hi Martin,
Many thanks for your help. If I can’t fault find any further then it looks like it’s probably not worth mending. With the control board being approx £100 and it is 9 yrs old I don’t think I’ll invest any further money into it.

Well, I’ve now replaced the relay but still no joy.
Once the power is switched on, then the display lights up (as before) for about 5 seconds then it goes off and a fairly rapid clicking starts which slows to a halt after about 10-15 seconds. This happen no matter which cycle I choose in the 5 seconds before it switches off.
If I immediately hit the time delay button during the 5 second grace period then the display stays on and the countdown starts.
As mArtin suggested, I’ve checked the connectors which all seems to be located correctly. There is one spare space for an additional connector on the PCB on the LHS looking at the dishwasher but as there is no wire/connector, I assume that it is used in a different model.
Is there diagnostic I can run to see where the problem may be ?Any comments/assistance please ?
Cheers

OK Thanks Martin, will try that in the next day or so. At the time I tried to doublecheck the connections but as they are configured so that they can only go on one way, I thought that couldn’t be the problem.
Will let you know if I make progress

ParticipantRe: Bosch F/F icing up regularly
Hi Guys,
Just thought I’d drop an update on the Bosch F/F.You were right on the diagnosis. I defrosted the f/f, degunked the tube as suggested (and it was nasty inside there) and cleaned everything up.
Restarted and have had no problems for the last 3 weeks.
Thanks again for your help
Cheers
