Re: Liebherr frosty NoFrost. A way forward?

    Hi
I am assuming the main reason for the ice build up on the back is
    the lack of air flow.

I have taken the fan out and put it on an old 9v battery and the
    fan does work.

When trying the following I have put a magnet on the top edge of
the fridge and the light goes out so the fridge thinks the door
    is closed.

In the first instance I have tried warming up the thermometer at
the bottom of the fridge by holding in my hand. But the
temperature on the front of the fridge does not change. I have
also put a volt meter into the fan plug and there is no current.

In the second instance I tried putting the thermometer in a box
with ice around it and again the temperature on the front of
the fridge did not change. And a again there was no reading on
    the fan plug.

At this point I was sure the issue was the thermometer.

However after a put everything back together and put all the
food back in the fridge the temperature on the front of the
    fridge did change.

Now I am at a loss.
What would be the steps to force the fridge to turn the fan on?
    Thanks

    Hi Bryan /All
Sorry for the delay but I had to get some time to check the model no
in the fridge but it is definitely a Model CBN-3856 Index 21 / 003
and the service nr / serial nr is 0976490-00.

I was thinking I would just get two thermometers but if one is an
evaporator sensor. I guess I am looking at getting a “sensor pack”
for this fridge? Is there something like this?

Also how do I test if the fan inside the fridge?
    Thank you
