ParticipantThe stat only clicks at around the 50 mark on the switch after the oven has been turned on for approx 10 minutes, it doesn’t click at all at room temp (oven cold) unlike the top oven stat that clicks at room temp

ParticipantToday my new switch arrived, great I thought, it was a like for like, carefully removed it ensuring all of the terminals were fitted in the correct position, tested the lower oven and it worked, great I thought, cooking tea and noticed that the with the temperature switch set at 150 the light that indicates the temperature has been reached never went out, the oven is getting very hot though. Any advice appreciated although I think it may be something may have been affected when the selector switch burnt out.

ParticipantHi Dave, I have removed the oven top today to look at the switch, there are signs of burning around pin / connector P8, I’ve taken a few pictures of the switch but having looked online for a replacement the numbers etched into the plastic don’t seem to match anything I find online, any advice appreciated.

ParticipantThanks Dave, my first thought was the switch , as I turn it slowly between the various settings the red LED which is normally lit until the selected temperature is reached flickers dimly.

Hi Jim,ive had a quick look at what you advised,is it the same problem as on the indesit models?,i have reset the machine having read the resetting procedure, the machine now works,is it possible that the previously mentioned 5p in the pump area could have affected the program and resetting it now has been successful, regards Dave
