    Hi Martin

    Thanks for the info, will look into cookerburra, they do seem to be what we are after as the cooker needs a blooming good deep clean.

    The fan is all fixed again, thank goodness, it looks like the bearings are on their way out and you were very right, no lubrication was needed at all. It’s so good that we have a really fast oven again!

    My husband, although now in IT, did start off life as a electro-mechanical engineer, so he knew mostly what he was doing.

    We are having similar problems. My husband took out the fan assembly a while ago, cleaned it down and hey presto it was working and did so for about 6 months before the problems started to present themselves again.

    He is hoping to get it all out to clean this weekend, but is hoping that using a lubricant on the fan shaft will help. Will post separately to ask if anybody could let us know about a food safe, high temp lubricant.
