    You are an ABSOLUTE STAR!!! What can I say…………

    The other thread proved most useful, and in unclogging the “bell chamber” I found that the hose leading from it had worn away aginst the back of the drum allowing air to enter. Hose replaced for 25p and all now seems well…fingers crossed.

    Yes you are correct, it was Purchases from Comet.
    Re the fault. The water keeps filling the drum and eventuallyrises to a level where it breaks the door seal and leaks. The circuit board has many black, sooty tracks across it. ❓

    Sounds terminal at almost £200
