Re: beko oven not heating up

Hi Martin, i think you could be correct ??? when i strippped it down again on staurday i did notice there where small electric sparks(arching maybe a better term) when i turned the oven selector knob round. Seemed to be coming from the contacts.

is the part available on whitegoods?

Re: beko oven not heating up

    Hi Lawrence

i have checked the neutral wires and they all seem ok, The oven stopped working before i disconnected anything

originally the oven stopped working, bought a new element and fitted it,as you say simple job, oven still not working.
got a meter and checked the old element and that is ok.

1- multi meter reading 4 ohms reading
    2- Top fan 100 ohms
    3- bottom fan 96 ohms
4-stat at top adj fan 0 omms, look this out and put a cig lighter flame on it, and heard it click on/open?
    5- Element 36 ohms
6- Temp thermostat knob 3 between 2 black wires no reading

I put the power on and tested for 240 v,
1- top and bottom fans 240
2-Thermostat turned off 240 between 2 black wires
3- thermostat turned on NO power between the 2 black wires but neon light on.

Re: beko oven not heating up

First of all, thanks for taking the time to reply to my thread.
Managed to borrow a multi meter, tested a few things, list below

1- multi meter reading 4 ohms reading
    2- Top fan 100 ohms
    3- bottom fan 96 ohms
4-stat at top adj fan 0 omms, look this out and put a cig lighter flame on it, and heard it click on/open?
    5- Element 36 ohms
6- Temp thermostat knob 3 between 2 black wires no reading

I put the power on and tested for 240 v,
1- top and bottom fans 240
2-Thermostat turned off 240 between 2 black wires
3- thermostat turned on NO power between the 2 black wires but neon light on.

When i turn the power back on, i have to reset the time, what is the Key Lock ? i make sure this is off, is that correct ??

Re: beko oven not heating up

i Have take the back off, when i turn the control knob to any setting there is power to the heating element, the fan at the rear is spinning fast and the fan on top of the oven is going round slowly.
