I am thinking of attempting this, as a basic diy’er it doesn’t look beyond me by any means, but the wife is concerned about cutting bits out the fridge, and soldering new parts…. the whole electrical fires and stuff, especially as its on 24/7.
looking for advice on if its really as easy as it sounds, and how best to re-insulate the seniors once replaced.
she’s thinking of calling out an engineer to do it, but he will only “bodge” the same as me, its obviously not a precise science as its just keep cutting away till you get to sensor…

oh what to do, £9 and diy vs £400 for something new…. but the peace of mind its all safe

Does this model have any reset switches or suffer any other non specialised electric faults. ? I’m happy to tinker, as got nothing to loose at present
