I followed your advice and flipped the board and tracked the wiring connector.

I tracked it to this connector and followed the wires back to the motor……and here’s the insides of the motor… 😳
I would get a new motor, but the missus insist we are not spending a penny more on it. Look out for it for spares/repairs on ebay… 😥

Just had a look…
The back of the circuit board is not viewable. It’s set in some resin/jelly compound and mounted in a plastic surround. If I cut it from the gel, what do you think the chances are of a reseal?
