    Thanks for that.

Replies from users on another froum have been pretty negative regarding the Smeg. They seem to suggest they don’t last very long. The Zanussi seems to be an unknown quantity. Just had a few comments that they have lasted well.

Dilemmas!! (I really need to get out more 😀 )

    Re: Leaking Whirpool adg 7550

I was supplied with a new ‘black cover’ but I just can’t get a seal around the small black pipe. It’s seems to run at such high pressure that it squirts out around the connection. I’ve tried it dry, with leak stop and with gasket sealer. I’m now losing the will to live.

    Any suggestions.

(Also, when I took the old cover off, I had to take the magnetic armature out, as it as so tightly fitted on. I’m a a bit worried this may have damaged the motor)

Many thanks for that. Am I right in thinking I can’t just replace the black bit! (Sorry for the non-technical term 😀 )

Ok. A bit more digging. It wasn’t what I originally thought. It’s a split pipe.

I’ve removed one end of it. Is there a way of just replacing the pipe or do I need the whole unit it’s attached to.

    Thanks
