ParticipantRe: Beko WM6355W no power after snapping noise
FIXED!!
Seamy had it right > “If there is mains supply on P.C.B but not doing anything then i’d go with changing P.C.B.”
So I ordered a 2nd hand PCB from eBay, spent 40 mins swapping them over & the jobs a good one…..
Thanks for the heads up on dodgy Fluke voltage testers (not my version)
Thanks for the feedback. Will keep this site in mind, hopefully will not need it too soon 😉

Hi Seamy
Thanks for your help…
I used a non contact voltage detector (Fluke) to test the wiring from the plug up to the on/off switch, and then from the on/off switch to the main board at the front. This showed a current going into the main PCB.
I also have checked for any burn marks on the main PCB & the DC module, both look perfect. It is usually a case of replacing the main PCB and hope for the best?

Hi Seamy
Thanks for the reply…
I have checked the electrical supply using a mains tester. This showed a current all the way to the on/off switch. I also tested a current coming out of the on/off switch which also showed a current all the way into the main board, at the front (which turned on/off with the switch.
The DC module at the side does not show any current at all.Does this suggest my problem is with the main board at the front, or the DC module at the side?
The strange thing about this is that when heard the initial sound, which I thought was the belt breaking, the front panel was working!!
Thanks for any replies.
