Thanks for the quick reply Bryan.
Job done and oven element now switches on and off as it should. 😀

Hey,
Thanks for the lightning fast reply. Will check as soon as possible.
So if it’s knackered, that would have caused the damage to the element and temp limiter?

One further thought. When I gently turn the top oven knob up/down there is a very definate ‘click’ but virtually no sound from the main oven knob. Significant ❓

Hi,
I’ve got a Bosch HBN7050GB/01 too which started out with a similar problem to dirk.diggler0.
A copy element blew in the main oven and another was fitted. However, although the fan worked the new element would not heat up. I removed the temperature limiter which had blown and replaced with part no 057895 purchased from Whitegoods. When fitted the problem was solved. (Or so I thought!)
The oven worked for about a week and then another loud POP 😥 The element had blown, and on removal so had the new limiter.
Is the real problem with the main oven thermostat? Or is it likely that the copy element was responsible? I’m prepared to buy the 3 parts incl the t’stat (the parts are in “the cart” as I speak) but I’d hate to blow £65 needlessly.
Techy help would be very gratefully received.
Thanks
