Yrs it gets warm on low heat, but not hot enough, takes much longer to dry, the high heat setting seems unaffected. I assume one element is for low heat and both elements used for high heat, is that correct ? Is it possible for an element to ‘ part fail’ ? Or is it all or nothing ?

Just bought a genuine Hotpoint C00282401 unit, which has the stats included. Would like to test the installed unit first, to confirm if it’s faulty or not. Have a multi meter, I am advised the impedance should be between 2-50 Ohms, can practice on the new unit, just need to know where t test between and wire colours please.
