Our combination microwave was not covered by the recall. We have a lower serial number than the affected ovens.

A local repairman is going to supply us with a quote for repair. I’ll compare that against the cost of a new oven. As only the microwave is broken, we could replace it with a normal microwave and continue using the non-microwave functions on the Sanyo.
