ParticipantRe: ISE 10 1606W Drum not turning
the parts arrived this week and the engineer fitted them on wednesday, well almost! the switch supplied wasn’t the right part so we await that, no big deal that though the machine is working again all be it with a piece of cardboard holding the switch in ’till the correct part comes but at least it’s working again and pretty much drama free.
Thanks to Kwatt for your help and thanks to Roy Waring for their help too.Richardhw

I like the machine, it’s design is very much to my liking, I was a little disappointed when the newer machine changed to look like all the rest but I didn’t get that one.
I also can see the machine is a good one, I have worked on enough machines to know this is different from the run of the mill stuff, and it has performed excellently for 5 years, the one glitch we had was user error.
The company ethos is superb, one of the main reasons for buying it in the first place. 10 years worry free? yes please I’ll have some of that.
Machines break, I accept that, Swedish machines less than most ( I have several good examples!)
Customer service ? I will reserve judgement on that until this problem is resolved whichever way it goes good or bad and I believe that the insurance company will play a big part here.
I expected to have some minor problems with regard to service due to where I live and no dealer in the vacinity.
Of course I have read the other comments/reviews and it does give me cause for concern but I am happy to wait a while and see how it goes.
I would like to know though what the situation with the insurance company is with regard to them refusing claims and or writing off the machine?Richardhw

So I took your advise and called ISE. Spoke to a very helpful and pleasant lady who checked my details and said she would get a service agent to be in touch.
However that was thursday morning, its now saturday evening and no call.
I don’t have an issue with waiting for an engineer but I do have an issue with it taking so long to have a call back.
This was one of the problems that I asked about when I bought the machine back in 2009.Is it usual to have to wait so long for a reply ?

Ok tried to follow the reset instructions on the link, now there are no lights except for a quick flash on pressing the power button !

Thanks Kwatt, I looked there but couldn’t see anything that looked helpful to this, I will try the reset and yes the drum turns fine, quiet, smooth by hand.

Thank you very much for your reply. And Yes, I used one of those tablets for the first time today, without reading the box. I cant see anything in the soap dispenser hole so will do as you suggest.
Thanks a lot !Richardhw
ParticipantRe: ISE 1606W and service agents
Well we have had the machine installed for a week or so now and I have to say it’s SUPERB 😀 😀 . It’s so quiet it’s hard to hear it whilst it’s washing and the fill cycle is not much louder. Spin caught us out too with the lack of noise, now we don’t have to even speak loudly while it’s spinning and washes loads faster than the Zanussi it’s replaced.
All in all very satisfied with the experience, ( ‘er indoors has said “it’s a wonderful machine” more than once )
Nice one ISE :tleft: -
