    Re: Neff U1421 – One oven not working / heating

    Thanks again for the reply – however;

    1 – The clock was set. I don’t know how to turn in it in manual “hand” mode – the top oven is working again – but there is no hand on the display – and no hand on any of the buttons around the clock area – I can email you some pics if it helps to identify which ones!

    2 – The lower oven IS fan assisted – so have you quoted me the parts for the right oven?

    THanks alot

    Thanks for both of your replies.

    Would you believe – the oven is now working again. I don’t know what happened, but it would not do anything last night at all! The red light comes on, and both the oven and grill in the smaller top oven appear to work perfectly.

    I can only deduce that it works like our old AEG oven insofar that the oven needs to be set to manual to use it – the problem is that we bought the oven secondhand – and don’t how to set it to either timed or manual – so clearly have pressed the right button inadvertently to get it working again!

    The other thing I do need is some new door hinges for the lower main oven door. How much for a set please? The door does shut – but not as tightly as it should, or the top oven door.

    Thanks alot.

    Thanks alot for the reply – but what do you mean “repairs @ for a diagnosis”?

    Do you mean – take it to a specialist for repair? Do you also mean, that if it were as simple as a new element, that the red light would still continue to come on – even though there is no heat?

    Thanks everso for your help.

    Richard
