Re: Zanussi WDJ1285 – ELCB Tripping Out

    Problem solved !

The supressor is indeed a cylinder with a plug in the end. It is located directly behind the mains terminal block and under the metal strut that holds the mains terminal block. The metal strut is held in place with a single crosshead screw into the rear crossmember across the top of the machine. The wires double back underneath the terminal block and it is so cramped it is difficult to see where they go, but once you undo the screw and lift the metal strut, there is the suppressor tucked underneath.

I removed this and replaced it with the one from the old machine and now its working fine. A 5 minute job if you know where to look.

Many thanks for your valued assistance and a Merry Christmas to you!

    Regards.

Many thanks for your quick response.

I desperately need to get one of these working, preferably the newer one which is now in situ and which I have previously seen working.

I have checked the mains cable to the connection block in the top of the machine and it is ok. When I disconnect the internal connector from the block and plug in, the ELCB does not trip, so it must be something beyond the internal mains connection block. If the suppressor is the problem, then I should be able to swap it from the old machine, if only I could locate its position. Any advice/help greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
