From experience the ribbon cable was one of the things i made sure i checked, and it looks and tests ok.
Serviceforce was a waste of a phonecall to be honest – but thanks anyway for the pointer.
So it’s now down to how much i spend if any!
God knows how they can ask so much for a couple of small PCBs with a few basic components! 😯
It’s a case of whether i bite the bullet and go for the expensive one first, or risk my luck with the cheaper of the two, lol.
I may just have another look at the circuit boards, and check a few components before i pull the wallet out, though.
Will let you know if my luck changes 😉
