    The switch is possible but less likely as that’s more or an “it works, doesn’t work” kinda thing, there’s no middle ground.

    OK, thanks for that. On a cooker this age, is it worth spending money on parts to try and fix it? Is the cooling fan and stat easily accessible if I were to have a go at fixing it?

    The cooker’s been reliable over the last 20 years so happy to spend a bit of money to try and keep it going as it seems newer range cookers don’t seem to be great quality unless you spend fortune on them.

    Is that the AR1303 or something else? I did wonder about the cooling fan but it does appear to be working. After it failed to heat yesterday, I turned the grill off and back on again an turned the temp up to 200. The grill heated up fine and I could hear the cooling fan kick in.

    When the wife told me it was playing up yesterday, the temperature was only at about 50 so probable not even hot enough for the fan to kick in.
