    Re: Diplomat APL 8215

Must have had my eyes closed when I first checked, cause when I had a closer look at the electrical harness last night, there are 3 small cuts in the plastic insulation, 2 are minor and 1 is almost all the way through – although it is still connected. Can you please tell me how much an electrical harness is and whether you think these wiring faults could be causing my problem.

    Regards

I checked the wiring last night and all appears to be OK. Could you please tell me if it is easy enough for a “DIYer” to check for blockages in the metering tank or hoses as you have suggested; how would I gain access to these. Also, where is the pressure switch located and how much is a replacement.

Many thanks for the reply. I will check the wiring over the next couple of days. When you say a blockage, I assume you mean a blockage somewhere between the end of the inlet hose and where it enters the main body of the machine, can I check this. Also, is there a check I can do on the pressure switch, can you advise where it is located. Finally, how much is a pressure switch likely to cost.

    Re: Diplomat APL 8215

It appears to work ok, in so much as, when I open the door, the 2 arms are spinning and the water is being sprayed around the machine. I have had a look through the rest of the site and although there is not an APL 8215 listed, there are some other diplomats with the same problem, and it is sometimes down to the wiring harness that goes from the door to the main body of the machine. If it is not the wiring, what other things should I be looking at. Would be grateful for some direction. Thanks
