I bought one recently and have used it with great success and it looks quite professional and folds neatly for storage it glides on kitchen floors and is very stable I would highly recommend it

Angle grinder may set customers cat on fire or worse ……chain drill or tin snip small access panel replace cap fold back up then gaffer tape you may laugh but it’s the easiest way and avoids all the other problems ie felt bearings disintegrating

control module is where you are smelling burning most likely to be heater relay on board call for an engineer to fix /replace
