Thanks Dave, the retailer offered us a different model, but we wanted this as it fits perfectly. Seems to be working fine so far.

An engineer called yesterday and took pone look at the fridge freezer then said, we’ll send another new one tomorrow. They’ve just gone and we now have another Becko freezer.

I guess I have just been unlucky Dave, thanks for your advice.

So, now they are sending an engineer on Thursday. I asked for it to be changed but they said only if it was beyond repair. Looks like I bought a bad one, I won’t be buying anything from Beko in future.

I bought it in January, in April they changed the gas cylinder because it wasn’t working and we lost £120 in food. Now it is building up with ice by the day even after turning it to minimum. I’ve just been to the retailer and she told me to ring up Beko for a repair. Two damn repairs in 4 months on a brand new machine. Ridiculous.

Spot on Dave, none of them want to know now. It’s been repaired. But I am still angry that we went 10 days without a fridge or freezer with no compensation.

The engineer came yesterday and fixed it with a new compressor. I lost £120 in food and taken me another £80 to restock. Beko say they won’t compensate me and to claim off my house contents insurance.
Not worth it because there would be an excess and my premium would go up. I was 10 days without a working fridge freezer. The shop and Beko have diabolical customer service.

Thanks Dave, I’ll see what their engineer says first then take it from there.

I had an email today saying they wouldn’t compensate me for lost food and told me to contact my home contents insurance. Trouble is as you know, the excess wouldn’t cover my loss and if I claim my policy would go up next year.

Thanks Samuri, I’m hoping the engineer will fix it on Tuesday then.

No one around. I have tried everything, turning it off for 10 minutes then on again. The motor is going, I can hear it but it is not getting cold in the fridge or the freezer. I bought some ice cubes but all they did was to leak everywhere.
