After watching some more videos, came to find out that resistance reading is not static and depends on temperature. So my old thermo resistance does seem to increase to 20k when submerged in ice. Does it still mean it’s faulty and should replace?

the temperature sensor reads 10.2 k-ohms where as the heater reads just 495 ohms.

I pre-ordered (before measuring) the heater thinking that the problem was with the heater, but new heater similarly reads 508 ohms

Is it safe to say the sensor is faulty and needs replacing?

is it evaporator heater or defrost heater. And what’s the difference.
