ParticipantRe: Bosch Fridge/Freezer, Fridge 2 warm
The repair was free as i fixed it myself but wouldn’t recommend it unless you are competent with circuit boards / electrics. All the info was found on this site so if you search for Bosch info you will find the cure. Good luck. 😉

ParticipantI have’nt given in yet, had the thing to pieces this evening, after listening to your advice suspect it may be the pcb as i tested the resistance of the thermistors and results were approx 11K for fridge at approx 15 C and approx 17K for freezer at -1C or thereabouts ( god knows where they are located though ? ), I really dont know alot more than this though so by proccess of elimination i suspect the pcb. Somebody please tell me if that sounds about right and if so where can a buy a pcb from ? Any ideas on how much they are ? Thanks again.

ParticipantThanks 4 ur advice helo_75, I’ll not give up just yet, i’ll try a local refridgeration engineer for an estimate and not give up on Bosch yet, maybe i’m expecting it to last forever but 5 years only seems like 2 or 3 !!! 🙂

ParticipantHi, dissapointing new this morning after last nights defrost, freezer and fridge cooled ok initially and then this morning freezer OK but fridge not cooling again. so i switched it off and then on again and compressor starts ok but it seems as though a thermostat on the fridge is not working ! Can you tell me where this is and where to get a replacement. Many thanks.

ParticipantThank you very much for your reply, i have defrosted the fridge/freezer this evening and will check the fridge temperature in the morning. I will let you know how i’ve got on. Also thanks for the link which makes interesting reading but i’m not sure mine is a ” frost free ” model, it looks like conventional fridge/freezer with cooling elements in the freezer and the usual compressor and cooling pipework on the back, thanks, i appreciate your help .
