ParticipantRe: AEG lavamat 72630 problem pump?
Hi SpinDoctor,
I have this morning done as you suggested and blown down the 2 air tubes from what appeared to be 2 pressure switches.
I cannot believe the amount of crud that ended up in the drum after doing this, clearly as you said, this was the problem.
Have done 2nd boil wash now and the matter is sorted and the machine fills with far less water during the wash cycles etc etc.
Many thanks SpinDoctor for pointing me in the right direction. I greatly appreciate this.

Hi again,
Thought about your wise advice SpinDoctor.
The missus been trying to save the environment and tells me she hasn’t done a wash over 30C for a while.
I ran a 95C empty wash cycle and this has worked. I presume the hot water has melted some of the crud in the pressure bowl maybe.
Any wise ideas for breaking this crud down further without having to un-plumb and dismantle the machine?
Or am I going to need to manually intervene in the near future?
Steve
PS. Missus re-educated.

Hi,
Thanks for this info SpinDoctor.
Presumable the pressure switch and air hoses are accessed from underneath.
I’ll have a look and let you know.

HI
thanks for responding.
PRN is 91400209601.
After checking drain pump, machine did not fill with water, it just kept returning to start button flashing mode when start button activated.
Having switched off at power socket overnight, set the machine to rinse cycle today.
It filled with water, drained fully and rotated the drum.
Seemed to stick at this point and after about 5 to 10 mins of the pump running with no water in drum it cut out and displayed E20 again.

ParticipantRe: Faulty Samsung fride/freezer
Have an update.
Fridge has not worked for 3 months now.
Made big fuss with Samsung Customer Services about their unwillingness to help as unit over 2 years old, (it’s 3 years old). They agreed to pay labour costs and so Expert Appliance have been round.
First they changed the PCB, even though it had been changed already. This didn’t fix the fault.
Second, they changed the compressor, saying that it had a reading of 5, when it should be 1, of whatever measurement they use???
Finally, today they have changed the defrost heater element on the fridge side as it had unusually high resistance readings.
Am waiting to see if this fixes the problem. Will post back with answer.

Is it worth offering this up on ebay?
Presumably it’s worth fixing to someone ‘in the know’ who might be able to obtain parts at cost price.Steve
