Re: Bosch SGS 3062GB/02 detergent compartment does not stay

Now have machine on its back – before I do anything else (lesson learned from last time) How do the springs come out?

Re: Bosch SGS 3062GB/02 detergent compartment does not stay

Unfortunately I hadn’t realised and released the screws holding the hinges to the stainless door inner liner. How much more do I have to strip to release the door springs so that I can refit the liner?

    Cheers

Re: Bosch SGS 3062GB/02 detergent compartment does not stay

Have got replacement unit in stainless inner liner.

White outer door panel is off – what order do I put these back together as hinges are in closed position and can’t keep them open. Do I put these together and then fit to hinges or do I try and fit the liner to the hinges and then fit the white front panel?

    Thanks

Usually the spring of the flap gets mangled. A kit p/no 166630 is available.
All can be done without taking door apart, but it can be a fiddle 😉

At the moment I’m still trying to see how the flap comes off without breaking it – does it slide off or is it a question of lifting it off from a particular point?

Although there’s a substantial price difference I’m just wondering if it’s not easier to replace the whole thing in one go. Are there any other parts of the compartment that are likely to fail meaning it’s better just to do that?

Thanks for the advice so far

Cheers. Removed the cover as you described. No glass but found a tiny mushroom shaped piece of plastic. Removed that and the machine is quiet again.

Just out of interest – should this area be full of water?

    Many thanks for your assistance

Re: Hotpoint TDC 30N Condenser Dryer problem

Have been meaning to post an update about this.

Checked all the things mentioned and the duct stat appeared fine but dryer was obviously heating up and not drying the clothes.

When I stripped it down, I discovered that one of the belt pulley brackets had snapped off one of its locating lugs. The belt had sufficient grip to slowly turn on the other pulley which meant that the drum was rotating but not at the speed required to dry out the clothes.

I replaced both pulley brackets and the machine has been working fine for a month now

    Thanks for the replies.

Yeah – it’s been washed through all 4 ways and you can see the light through it.

The stat kit fitted was part no. 1701583.

I’ll check the duct stat – do you know what the part number is?

    Cheers

Re: Bosch HBN 410A Oven – Fan not working

Thanks – 😕 A couple of other websites indicated that there were 2 different fans for this oven. Is this the case or not? The other one was about £30 more on both sites and it said that you needed to have removed it to confirm which was the correct one.

❓ ❓ Also I’m still keen to know if it is a case of taking the oven out of its housing to replace the fan from the rear. The Bosch drawing that I got from the internet seems to suggest this or can you get at it from inside, I replaced the element in this oven about 18 months ago but can’t remember now whether the fan could be reached this way.

Better to be safe than sorry!

Unfortunately the clock is not set to manual – the oven started to heat up so switched it off pronto before posting my question 😥
