Forgot to update this, was indeed all down to wiring thankfully.

I notice there is a replacement harness available, so can’t be too uncommon. Will be treating it to a new door seal now, as the original one is a bit rank 😆

OK, fixed the wire, and have a new error. I now have the 3rd button lighting along with the lock LED.

Now the motor does move the drum when you start a cycle, but only about 1/4 of a turn in each direction?

    Re: Ariston A1636 Fubar’d

I have discovered a broken wire on the plug that connects to the motors loom, I feel this is a strong candidate for causing my problem!

Annoyingly it’s broken flush with the plug, so I’m going to have to split it, I think.

I was under the impression that being a 3 phase motor, it didn’t have any brushes?

Might have got the wrong end of the stick somewhere though.

Didn’t notice anything obviously visually wrong when I was getting the control board out, but didn’t really stare too much.

Multimeter time it is then 8)

What I mean is it’s the 4th light which is also the bottom one 😆

Don’t suppose there is any way to test the motor?

Well it’s half way through it’s first cycle after I dislodged the horrific goo from inside the pipe, and I am pleased to say that it is scorching hot inside again (put it on the hottest cycle, an acid test if you will)

Thank you very much, I guess I shall be making semi-regular checks on that.

I’ve also noticed that it sounds different now, it used to make a kind of KERPLUNKâ„¢ repeatedly at the start of the cycle, and at points during it, that’s now gone.

Re: Bosch Logixx Automiatic SGS0902GB/04 Fault(s)

Great advise, that pipe is funked up beyond belief and (according to my tap) severely restricted. Will clean and refit tomorrow. While the lower panel is off, is there anything else worth doing/cleaning? Might as well do some good old preventative maintenance if possible!

Thanks very much for your help

Re: Bosch Logixx Automiatic SGS0902GB/04 Fault(s)

    Right a small update:

I am pretty sure that when it takes forever to complete it’s cycle (as per fault #2) it isn’t heating the water, as stuff is (eventually) coming out wet and not as clean as it should be.

Seems too, or at least it does some of the time, it ran all right last night, at the second time of asking (first time fault #1 reared it’s head).

I can make a little addition to #1 as well; the machine isn’t totally silent, it makes a few noises as per normal, then falls silent and does nothing.
