Re: ISE W1607W – Push main switch, electronics dont respond

    Thanks iadom

I’ve made my choice re a replacement machine, and have stripped down the 1607.

If you have a 1607 then can I tempt you/UKWG with a recovered motor unit or any other parts? It would be nice to salvage a small amount of the value lost when the ISE 10yr gtee melted away…

Will sadly take it to the tip tomorrow.

Re: ISE W1607W – Push main switch, electronics dont respond

    Thanks iadom.

Presumably if I order and fit the main control unit, there is a risk that something else is wrong as well, that caused the previous control unit to fail, and the control unit blows again? The control unit is out and looks as-new, no obvious components blown. No sign of obvious damage round motor control unit, motor or drain pump. And the fuse in the plug wasn’t blown. Is there anything else I should look out for before I decide whether to go down the repair route?

Though if my choice to avoid sealed-tub, extreme long cycle times and other “modern” shortcuts is between fixing the ISE or upgrading to a Elctrlx Prfssnl QWC, £190 for the main board might be the least bad option.
