Yes, I removed the spacers as well

The one marked in red (see below pic) that end goes to washing machine or cold water pipe line? Please let me know Martin.

1. I unscrewed (as pic below). Do I have to remove black spacers as well? Is it ok if leave black spacers with washing machine?

Finally I managed to do insulation sheet of corrugated material to the base. it is ok now.
