    Re: Hotpoint WMD960 – F05 Fault

Thought i’d share this, fault code f-05 .had this code twice on my 6mth old washer/dryer, 1st time time there was an elastic band around the propellor/impeller thing all put back and worked great, tonight 2 weeks later F-05. switched off & unplugged it, i have both times pulled the washer completely out then tipped right back to lean against the wall, removed the front lower cover (push a small slotted screwdriver up into the 3 cut out lugs) , towel ready, bucket and small bowl to catch all the water. unscrewed the plug/filter, then slowly taking the weight tipped the washer forward to fill the bowl, tip back to stop the flow, empty the bowl into the bucket and repeated till just a drip coming out. in the bucket was a tiny round plastic disc size of a 50p piece. plug/filter screwed back in, cover replaced, lowered the washer to ground again, checked drain hose still in the drainage pipe, put back in place, switched on, turned to fast spin and hey presto, fully working. seems like unless i check clothes pockets better this is a repeat thing. best of luck, sarah?
